How It Works

Live in Four Simple Steps

From install to earning — it takes less than a minute.

1

Install & Activate

Upload the plugin to WordPress and activate it. That's the only setup you'll ever need.

2

Artist Detection

The widget scans your page URLs and matches them against the active performer list.

3

Auto-Injection

When a match is found, the ticket widget is automatically inserted into your content.

4

Readers Discover Tickets

Visitors click through to face value listings on CashorTrade.org — tracked to your account.

Automatic Placement

Smart Rules, Zero Manual Work

The widget knows exactly when and where to appear in your content.

When the Widget Appears

Two conditions must be met for auto-placement:

  • The page URL contains a recognized artist name
  • That artist is included in the Active Performer List
When both conditions are met, the widget is inserted after the 4th paragraph by default.

Fallback Behavior

When no performer match is found in the URL, the plugin doesn't leave your readers empty-handed.

  • A static CashorTrade tickets link appears instead
  • Visitors can still discover the marketplace
  • Your affiliate tracking still applies
Every page gets value — matched or not. No dead ends for your readers.
Settings

Fine-Tune Your Widget Placement

Customize exactly where and how the ticket widget appears on your pages.

⚙ Widget Placement Settings CashorTrade Plugin

Show widget inline in post

Insert the ticket widget at the paragraph position specified below. Uncheck to disable inline placement — the end-of-post option will still apply if enabled.

4

Insert after paragraph #

The widget will appear after this paragraph number in the post content. Adjust to match your typical article length and layout.

Also show at end of post

When enabled, the widget appears both at the inline paragraph position above (if enabled) and again at the very end of the post for maximum visibility.

Manual Placement

Use Shortcodes for Full Control

Place the widget anywhere on any page — shortcodes override automatic placement.

[tour_dates performer="billy-strings"] [tour_dates performer="phish"] [tour_dates performer="goose"]

How Shortcodes Work

Drop a shortcode into any WordPress post or page to place the ticket widget exactly where you want it.

  • Shortcodes override automatic placement on that page
  • Use the artist slug as the performer value
  • The artist must be in the Active Performer list
  • Works in posts, pages, and custom post types

URL Matching

How Artist Detection Works

The plugin matches URL slugs against the active performer list. Here's how it decides.

✕ No Widget

Partial match doesn't count

yourwebsite.com/articles/detail/billy-jones-strings

"billy-jones-strings" is not in the performer list. The URL contains extra words that break the match — only exact artist slugs are recognized.

✓ Widget Shows

Exact slug match detected

yourwebsite.com/articles/detail/billy-strings

"billy-strings" is an exact match in the Active Performer list. The widget auto-injects and displays tour dates with face value ticket links.

Centralized

One Update. Every Site. Instantly.
